Katy Perry just won a huge lawsuit over the ownership of a Los Angeles convent!
TMZ has reported that the singer and the Archdiocese of L.A. just jointly won $15 million following the end of major lawsuit.
Two years ago, Perry was working out a deal with the Archdiocese to purchase a convent. Reportedly, she was planning on living in the convent as her new home.
However, two nuns that had lived at the convent didn’t want Perry to buy it. In secret, they sold the property to restaurant owner Dana Hollister.
While both the nuns and Hollister argued that they had the right to buy and sell the property, respectively, the courts didn’t agree.
As the property was determined to have actually belonged to the Archdiocese, the court ruled against Hollister.
She now owes Perry $5 million and the Archdiocese $10 million for ruining their deal.
