The downtown Sacramento ice rink is now open for business at St. Rose of Lima Park across from the Golden 1 Center.

The ice rink is celebrating opening day of its 26th season with $2 skating all day today, with several other special events throughout the season.

This Saturday (Nov 4) is “Princess and Superhero Day” and everyone is encouraged to dress up.

Veteran’s Day (Nov 10 & 11) skate for free with a valid military ID

“Drag Queens on Ice” (Nov 16) will surely provide a lot of laughs while benefiting local LGBTQ charities.

The kids can even meet Santa and have their pictures taken in the sleigh (Dec 21)

See a list of all the events here.

The Sacramento ice rink is located at 701 K St. and will be open (weather permitting) Nov 3- Jan 15 (except Dec 25)

More area ice rinks – Historic Folsom ice rink, Iceland Ice Skating rink and Skatetown Ice Arena – are all set to open in the coming weeks.
