If your name was on the list you could get at least $125. If you can prove fraud because of it they will pay you up to $20,000.

Equifax will have to pay up to $700 million to compensate affected people with credit monitoring services.  That money will go into a fund to reimburse you for the following.

  2. Cash payments up to $20,000 for the time you spent remedying fraud, identity theft, or other misuse of your personal information caused by the data breach up to 20 total hours at $25 per hour, out of pocket losses from the data breach, and 25% of the cost of Equifax credit or identity monitoring products you paid for in the year before the data breach announcement.
  3. At least 7 years of free assisted identity restoration services to help you remedy the effects of identity theft and fraud
