There are terrible dates, and then there are ones so awful that they end in arrest. Unfortunately for this Tennessee woman, her date with 21-year-old Kelton Griffin went exactly like that…
According to Fox News, Griffin surprised the unnamed woman with a romantic outing last Sunday. After appearing at her house, he offered to take her on a date and the woman happily said yes.
However, things started off a little weird when Griffin asked to drive the woman’s car. Although she agreed because she didn’t know where he was taking her, it ended up being the wrong decision.

Griffin’s first stop was the gas station, and the woman got out of the car to buy cigars. While she was in the store, he sped off in her car and left her behind. When she tried calling him, he blocked her number. He also went as far as to block her on social media so she couldn’t get through. With no way of getting a hold of him, the woman called her family to let them know what happened. Luckily, the woman’s godsister actually knew where he was.
Why?
Griffin texted her. In fact, he asked the godsister if she wanted to go on a date with him to the movies and was already on his way to pick her up. The woman and her godsister then worked together, and Tennessee police arrested the him at the theater. Kelton Griffin is now facing charges of theft of property.
