Taylor Swift Sends Flowers To Police Dept. After Officer’s Death
The Police Department in Tustin, California, received an unexpected delivery of flowers this week from Taylor Swift in memory of Sgt. Delber “Del” Pickney.

The Tustin Police Department in Tustin, California, received an unexpected delivery of flowers this week from Taylor Swift in memory of deceased Sgt. Delber “Del” Pickney.
The large, white, heart-shaped arrangement came with a note: “In Loving Memory of Your Dedication & Service – Taylor Swift.”
Pictures of the flowers along with a message of gratitude for Taylor’s thoughtfulness were posted by Pickney’s 17-year-old daughter: “Thank you @taylorswift13 for recognizing my dad’s service; it was much appreciated.”
Sgt. Pickney, who served with the local police department for 29 years suffered a heart attack while hiking on February 22nd, according to the Orange County Register. He oversaw a wellness program as well as co-founded the department’s softball league. He is survived by his wife and two teenage daughters.
