As you probably know, Toys “R” Us closed its doors for good last Friday. To mark the end of an era, they shared a picture of their giraffe mascot waving goodbye in an empty store. And, while it’s sad to see such an iconic store go by the wayside, there is some good news that’s come from it. At a Toys R’ Us location in Raleigh, North Carolina, an anonymous person bought the remaining $1 million worth of toys so they could give them away. So, last Friday, that store’s employees spent the day boxing stuff up and shipping it out.

And, while no one knows who bought the toys, speculation is they will be used later this year as a Secret Santa type gesture.
