It’s hard to tell what’s more surprising: the fact that someone stole this piece of art, or that this rock is really worth $14,000…

Toronto Police are currently in search of a stolen rock from Yoko Ono’s exhibit worth $14,000. Honestly, it’s hard to believe this stone is worth so much….

The rock was a part of Yoko Ono: The Riverbed. The rock reads “Love Yourself,” written by the artist herself. Furthermore, the stones in the exhibit are from an actual riverbed. Yoko wrote short mantras on each stone like “Dream,” “Forgive,” “Wish,” “Remember.”

It’s true that the rock probably wasn’t too difficult to steal. Officer Gary Long told the Toronto Star:

“It’ a totally interactive [exhibit]. [There’s] a bunch of rocks on the ground and people can walk up to them and pick them up.”

Surveillance cameras caught the suspect: a 55 – 60-year-old woman. However, they have yet to find her.
