KFC Is Offering $11K To Someone Who Names Their New Baby After The Colonel

If you’re around eight or nine months pregnant right now and still haven’t picked a name, we’ve got a suggestion! And, bonus, it’s not trendy, ironic, hipster, “old people names are cool again” way.

KFC just launched a contest in honor of the real Colonel Sanders’s birthday, which was September 9, 1890.  So here’s the deal. They’re offering someone money for naming their child after the Colonel. But, that’s not all. If your baby is born September 9th and you legally name them Harland, you could win $11,000. That makes you eligible. No matter how many parents enter, KFC will randomly pick just one winner.

I mean, why not? I think it’s kind of a cool name and you could start a pretty awesome college fund!
