Jenelle Evans, one of the stars of Teen Mom, is opening up about something that happened while she was pregnant…
According to E! News, the reality star is admitting that she tested positive for THC after giving birth to her daughter, Ensley.
For those who don’t know, THC is one of the chemical that’s in cannabis. While her baby did not test positive for the drug, child protective services were understandable concerned.
Evans explained what happened during a recent interview, saying:
“I’m not going to lie about that. I tested positive for THC, and Ensley did not test positive. I did. So [Child Protective Services] were like—I was in the hospital—they said, ‘Did you smoke when you were pregnant?’ I said, ‘I did within the past 30 days. I said I have really bad esophageal spasms and I throw up every 5 minutes, I can’t even eat.’ And they said, ‘OK, some moms do that. We are not here to judge, we are writing down your information.'”
CSP did follow-up with both Evans and her husband, David Eason, but they have since closed their case. She explained:
“After I had Ensley, they said CPS will just come by to do a [wellness] check since you tested positive. They came and did a checkup, and everything is fine. They closed the case.”
While the Teen Mom star has a long history of drug abuse (and her ex-boyfriend was recently arrested over them), she is no longer using any drugs herself. As she describes it:
“If I were on drugs, I wouldn’t be able to sit here in the morning and get the kids ready and eat healthily. Or I’d be losing a lot of weight.”
We wish both Jenelle Evans and David Eason the best as they raise their new daughter.
