California governor Jerry Brown will give Texas governor Greg Abbott “a selection of wine from wineries in Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino regions” if Houston wins.

But, should the Astros win, Abbott will send some barbecue and a six-pack of beer brewed in Houston to the Golden State. And, regardless of who wins, Abbott says he will donate to fire efforts in Northern California saying, “Our two states are united by America’s pastime,” according to the Sacramento Bee.

With the Dodgers up 1-0, Brown is even more confident saying, “While we don’t expect to have to send any vino to Texas, we hope travelers from all over the world – yes, even the Lone Star State – will continue to visit California.”

Police Chief Charlie Beck in Los Angeles and Police Chief Art Acevedo in Houston are also getting in on the fun, making a friendly wager on the World Series.
