The ‘Fill the Boot for Burns’ fundraiser returns. For the next four days firefighters are ready to take your donations at the intersection of Greenback and Sunrise.

‘Fill the Boot’ began in 1977 after the horrific plane crash into Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor in South Sacramento. For the past 43 years firefighters have been volunteering to collect money in their boots to improve burn treatment and to fund life-altering burn recovery programs, including Firefighters Kids Camp for young burn survivors and the Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp.  Sac Metro firefighters are very passionate about raising money to help the burn victims in their community.

So, be ready to throw some cash in the boot while you’re stopped at the intersection of Greenback and Sunrise Thursday 2/6 through Sunday 2/9 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Can’t make it to Citrus Heights? You can donate online HERE!
