The past several months have been a financial roller coaster for Ettore’s Bakery and Restaurant. Last spring the company filed for bankruptcy protection, followed by the closure of two of its facilities.
“I am grateful to announce that Ettore’s has been purchased from the courts by our General Manager, Lisa Calk, and Ettore’s Bakery and Restaurant will stay open with Lisa as the new owner,” founder Ettore Ravazzolo wrote on Facebook. “As the bankruptcy proceedings progressed it became clear that I was not going to be able to continue to own Ettore’s and was in real danger of the company folding all together.”
The deal means that the Sacramento restaurant on Fair Oaks Blvd. near Howe Ave. Ravazzolo will also continue on as pastry chef.
