Elton John just suffered a very personal loss…
ABC News has reported that John’s mother, Shelia Farebrother, sadly passed away Monday morning (December 4th).
In a Twitter post, the singer broke the news:
So sad to say that my mother passed away this morning. I only saw her last Monday and I am in shock. Travel safe Mum. Thank you for everything. I will miss you so much.

The two had recently reconciled in 2016 after have a falling out. He’d previously explained that they got back in touch on his mother’s 90th birthday.
