Chick-fil-A, known for its chicken sandwiches and the traffic jams appears to be eyeing a location at Country Club Plaza in the Arden-Arcade area.

According to Sacramento Business Journal, “A request for a pre-application meeting was submitted last week in Sacramento County regarding the potential development of a new 5,185-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant. The filing states the project would include a dual-lane drive-thru for 25 vehicles and 66 associated parking spots at 2401 Butano Drive.”

A quick google search of the address pulls up Country Club Plaza at Watt and El Camino avenues.

There is no official word from Country Club Plaza management whether or not Chick-fil-A is showing an interest in this location for its next restaurant. However, if Chick-fil-A decides to go ahead with the project, expect the chicken wars to begin. They will be joining Popeye’s, currently at the corner of Watt and El Camino, and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, which is under construction across the street.
