U2 Breaking A Decades-Long Pledge Against Golf

When the members of U2 were just teenagers, they made a sacred pledge they never broke.
Lead singer Bono explained in a recent interview:
“U2 made a pledge early on, as teenagers actually, when we formed the band that the one thing we would never ever do — and it was a sacred pledge — was to play golf. We didn’t think it was rock ‘n’ roll.”
However, despite maintaining that oath for decades, the band is now set to break it for a good cause.
Billboard has reported that U2 is taking part in the (RED) Shopathon campaign for World AIDS Day, and they’re giving fans the chance to play mini golf with the entire band.
And they’re not the only ones taking part: donors can also win the opportunity to attend a movie premiere with Reese Witherspoon, a workout session with Charlize Theron, or a trip to Seoul with famous K-Pop star Taeyeon.
