The retrial for disgraced comedian Bill Cosby has ended, and the verdict is out: guilty.
According to the Daily Mail, Cosby has been found guilty of drugging and raping Andrea Constand. The jury of seven men and five women unanimously convicted Cosby on all three counts.
Cosby did not react to the verdict, sitting in silence and casting his eyes down the entire time. Due to his age, the comedian is now facing life in prison. Each count carries a maximum of 10 years in prison, and Cosby is already 80-years-old.
While the verdict is a huge boost for District Attorney Kevin Steele, it’s a crushing defeat for Cosby’s own attorney, Thomas Mesereau. He famously helped achieve Michael Jackson’s acquittal back in 2005, and was hoping for a similar outcome here.

Following the announcement of the verdict, Judge Steven T. O’Neill struggled to maintain order in the court. He later thanked the jury for their time and service to their country and for justice.
