Swim up bars seem to be everywhere in just about every tropical location in the world, but not so many here in the U.S., especially Sacramento – until this summer! Here’s the low-down. Every Sunday Sacramento’s downtown Hyatt is opening its pool bar to the general public. You have to buy a ticket though, and only for Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

According to The Sacramento Bee anyone 18+ can buy a ticket to UNWIND, the Hyatt Regency’s swim-up bar at 1209 L Street. Those not old enough to enjoy a cocktail can still partake in mocktails and poolside munchies.

“UNWIND bills itself as an alternative to the cheesy Vegas-style pool party scene,” local Hyatt director of sales Brenda Kirian wrote in a statement. “It’s a great chance for Sacramento residents who don’t own a pool to cool down during the hotel summer on Sunday afternoons.”

Admission is $20 in advance – if you wait it’s $25 on the UNWIND Eventbrite page.
