If you have fruit trees in your yard, then you know how hard it is to eat or use all of the fruit before it spoils. A local group wants to help you put that fruit to good use…feeding hungry people in Sacramento.

Community Fruit is a program started by Find Out Farms. If you have fruit to share, you can contact them and volunteers will be sent out to pick it for you. The fruit is then shared with hungry folks in the area. One of the beneficiaries is Wellspring Women’s Center. Community Fruit also hosts a free fruit farmstand once a month for people in South Oak Park.
