The Sacramento Greek Festival is happening all weekend at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (600 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento) Celebrate the vibrant culture, rich food and traditions of Greece, here in Sacramento. There will be a village-style atmosphere of the festival that perfectly represents the historical and epic Greek passion for life, food, drink and dance!

Sacramento’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration takes place at Turn Verein at 3349 J Street Today (Friday, October 7) and Saturday (Oct 8).

Looking for a pumpkin that will last beyond Halloween? Folsom’s Glass Pumpkin Patch is this weekend. “Not only will there be over 4,000 handblown glass pumpkins, but this year you’ll find many more acorns than last plus glass peppers, pickles, corn, lavender, poppies, eggplants, leaves & snails!” New to the event this year are live glass blowing demonstrations where the artists will showcase the talents, skills, and steps involved to create their famous art pieces, Folsom Parks and Recreation and 2BGlass Studio presents this popular annual event taking place Oct. 8-9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Folsom Art Center, 48 Natoma Street.

The Rio Vista Bass Derby and Festival is this weekend. In addition to the fishing competition (grand prize is $3000), there will be live music, food vendors, rides and attractions, as well as a pancake breakfast, car show and even a flu clinic. More details here

Sacramento Gem Faire, one of the largest gem, jewelry and bead shows in the United States, is happening this weekend at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center (6151 H St., Sacramento)

Fall Festival Spooktacular is happening tomorrow (Saturday, October 8) at Esther’s Park (3408 3rd Ave., Sacramento). It’s a free community fall festival featuring live music and local DJs, food trucks and drinks, a marketplace with 20+ local owned businesses and community organizations, live art, and trick or treating!

Night Market on the Promenade is happening in Roseville tomorrow night from 6pm to 9pm at Westfield Galleria at Roseville. Enjoy an evening of family fun with charcuterie board making, live music, a pumpkin patch, a DIY Garden stations, spirited family-friendly activities like a bounce house and face painting, and more!

Second Sunday Brunch Market is happening Sunday, October 9 in Old Sac. It’s a “popup brunch” event that will shut down all of K St. in Old Sacramento with live music on the balcony, multiple restaurants offering brunch items.
