Want To Run Faster? Drink Pink!

If you’re a runner, you might want to stock up on pink juices and pink sports drinks for your pre and post-run hydration.
It doesn’t really matter what flavor it is….watermelon, bubble gum, pink apple……as long as it’s pink, it will help you run faster and further, according to The University of Westminster in the U.K. They found that drinking something that looks pink and tastes pink makes people run 4% faster and further. The researchers say, quote, “Adding pink to an artificially sweetened solution not only enhanced the perception of sweetness, but also enhanced feelings of pleasure, self-selected running speed, and distance covered.”
I wonder if it also helps you run faster if you wear pink? I think I may need to do some experimenting this weekend!
