US Air Traffic Day Before Thanksgiving The Highest Since Beginning Of Pandemic
By darik on November 26, 2020
Did you fly the mask-required, not-so-friendly skies this Thanksgiving? Apparently 6.8 million US passengers in the week leading up to the holiday did as well.
According to the TSA, a surge of 1,070,967 people crossed through airport checkpoints on Wednesday alone.
Those figures represent a high point since the start of the pandemic, when 1.25 million passengers were screened on March 16th.
But that’s still more than half the number of people who travelled the day before Thanksgiving in 2019.
Rock and roll. “Wednesday — the day that saw the most flights since March — also marked the day the US recorded its highest daily death toll since May.” https://t.co/EKqgtO5XCZ
