The Town Made Famous From Movie, “Purple Rain” Reviles Life-Size Prince Statue!

He’s more than a symbol.

To all our Prince fans still bleeding purple, thanks to our partners at KCRA3, the town of Henderson, Minn. where the movie “Purple Rain” was made has unveiled a life size statue of Prince in a garden filled with purple flowers and other tributes to the late artist.  

You can go to the murals on the banks of the Minnesota river , about 45 minutes from Minneapolis and Prince’s Paisley Park Studios.  Joel King of Prince Legacy Henderson Project says “It’s kind of giving back to Prince what Prince gave me…” King worked with Prince on his “Graffiti Bridge” movie and other projects. 

“It was such a beautiful commemorative opportunity for Prince’s legacy to continue to live on,” he said.
