And the winner is “Die Hard!” No, I’m kidding, but it did make the list, and even came above “Frosty the Snowman” and just behind “Polar Express.”
Ok, we’ll get straight to it. The top Christmas/Holiday movie, according to voters, is a tie between “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Story.” You know, “you’ll shoot your eye out.” 3 out of 4 of us say we do enjoy watching Christmas movies, and 80% of women enjoy them. 81% of parents who have kids under 18-years-old enjoy the movies, too. 60% of people in general say they watch at least one Christmas movie this time of year. Now let’s get to the results.
9% of people responding to the survey voted for “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Story,” getting them tied for first place. “Home Alone” (we’re just assuming that goes for the whole series) and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” tied for third place with 7% of respondents voting for those as their favorite. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” all came in tied for 4th place with 5%.
“Die Hard” was the favorite of 3% of people responding, coming in just after “Polar Express” with 4%. See the rest of the results and where your favorite Christmas movie came on the list over here.
