This Sunday is National Cookie Day and what better way to celebrate than by cheering on a local baker on Food Network’s “Christmas Cookie Challenge”

If you’ve ever visited the Vacaville Farmer’s Market, you may be familiar with the delightful cookie creations of Allison Harris and her business, “Because Carbs“. She’s been baking and decorating cookies since she was 5, but turned her passion into a business a few years ago. A producer for Food Network came across her “Because Carbs” Instagram and invited her to compete on the “Christmas Cookie Challenge” for a shot at $10,000. Allison says the real prize for her was meeting Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman. She says “Not only do I feel like I’ve made it, but getting to meet Ree Drummond, THE PIONEER WOMAN, is a dream come true. I still use her baking supplies I bought at Wally World when I first started cookie-ing”

No spoilers here, but if you want to see Allison Harris compete in the Christmas Cookie Challenge, you can watch this weekend! Here’s the schedule:

Saturday, December 3 at 10pm
Sunday, December 4 at 1am
Friday, December 16 at 11am
Saturday, December 24 at 10pm
Sunday, December 25 at 1am

No cable? You can watch anytime on Discovery+, Hulu, and YouTube TV.

If you’re looking for unique holiday gifts, you can purchase cookie classes with Allison on her website. Hurry, though! They are quickly selling out.
