Sacramento’s Baby Capybara Has a Name!

Coming up with the perfect name is one of the toughest things about having a baby. Well, the folks at Sacramento Zoo have been observing and getting to know the baby capybara that was born there this past July. As he explored his habitat and interacted with the other capybaras, they observed something interesting. Baby capybara had “ninja skills” that reminded them of an icon, Donatello, of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So, they named him Donatello, but they call him “Donnie”, because he’s still a little guy. It won’t be long before he grows into his name, though.
