Sacramento Named the #2 “Dirtiest City” in the U.S.

This is definitely not a list you want to land on. According to a new report, Sacramento is the #2 “dirtiest’ city in the U.S. How did they decide this? Well, they simply analyzed 12.3 million sanitation-related 311 complaints in a series of U.S. cities. These complaints ranged from littered streets to missed garbage pick-ups. While Baltimore was the top “dirty city”, Sacramento was #2. Rounding out the top 5 were…Charlotte, Los Angeles, and Memphis. Milwaukie, Wisconsin was named the “cleanest” U.S. city.

The good news? There are a lot of ways you can help clean up Sacramento. In fact, the largest American River cleanup of the year is happening this month! The Great American River Clean-Up is happening September 23rd, from 9am to Noon. You can volunteer at a spot near your home or just a spot you like to visit. Here are the links for more info:
