Porch Pirate Caught And Arrested Thanks To 8-Year-Old Girl
Thanks to the quick action of this 8-year-old girl, a porch pirate was caught, arrested, and admitted to some other thefts he was part of in the area.

Tis the season for stolen packaged, fa la la la la…. An 8-year-old girl is credited for helping bring down a porch pirate in her neighborhood. She was paying attention, noticed the theft, and told her dad who then reported the man’s license plate.

It happened in Florida, and was luckily handled pretty quickly. Porch pirates steal packages from homeowner’s porches if nobody is home. They figure people are buying a bunch of cool stuff around the holidays, and they’re trying to score some sweet new free items. This guy got away with a few other thefts, but thanks to this 8-year-old, he was arrested. The girl saw someone in their neighborhood stealing a package. The girl told her dad, and her dad called the police with the man’s license plate.
Police later caught up to the 34-year-old thief, and were able to get him into custody. It goes to show that just being aware of what’s happening on your street can really help everyone. Also, it also might be a good idea to just have your Amazon packages delivered to your office or another hold location for good measure. You can also ask some neighbors if they could grab your packages for you too if they happen to see something sitting out.
