Remember all of those wildfires in 2017? If you are a PG&E customer, those may end up costing you if a new proposal makes it through the state capitol.

KCRA 3 reports, “Under the proposal, California utilities regulators would have the option of letting power companies charge their customers, through surcharges on their bills, for some of the costs resulting from the 2017 wildfires only, according to The Associated Press.

The Associated Press reported utility ratepayers could be charged even if the utilities were found to be negligent or unreasonable in building, maintaining or operating their equipment in the 2017 wildfires.”
