Some of the most deliciously weird ice cream is coming to Sacramento soon. Portland-based Salt & Straw is opening a location in the Ice Blocks September 7! The chain is known for their weird flavors like strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper, pear with bleu cheese and deviled egg custard with smoked black tea. During the Halloween season, they’ve been known to feature ice cream made with blood…or ants. The Ice Blocks store will have 12 set flavors and a handful of seasonal creations that rotate monthly.

Currently on the menu, a flavor inspired by Mexican street corn. It’s a Mayo ice cream with a ribbon of charred corn curd with cotija cheese crumbles. They also have other vegetable inspired flavors on the menu right now. Does that count as eating your veggies?

If you’re not feeling THAT adventurous, they have “normal” flavors like chocolate gooey brownie, sea salt with caramel ribbon, and cinnamon snickerdoodle.
