Lady Gaga Gets Emotional During Speech For Bradley Cooper

Lady Gaga paid tribute to Bradley Cooper, in an emotional speech that honored his directing work on the movie, ‘A Star Is Born’.

Lady Gaga got a little emotional, during her speech honoring Bradley Cooper’s directing achievements.

According to E! News, the powerhouse singer took the stage at the American Cinematheque Award Presentation in Beverly Hills on Thursday the 29th. Gaga, alongside he A Star Is Born co-star, Sam Elliot, shared kind words for their director. “I’m so honored to have you as my friend,” Gaga said.

Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, the six-time Grammy winner shared how Cooper helped her open up for for her role. “I ran from Stefani for a long time. I put on a superhero cape and called myself Lady Gaga,” she explained. “You challenged me to deep dive into a place where I had to see her again, be Stefani again.”

During her speech, Gaga shed a few tears where she finished with: “I’m so grateful to you, not just for making me a better actress, but I’ve been able to call on you as a friend, and cry and be myself and have you never ever judge me and still respect me as a professional.”
