Tired of that bookcase or TV stand you got a few years ago? If you bought them at Ikea, they will now pay you to get them back. Starting today, IKEA is making its Buy Back & Resell program permanent. This service only applies to personally-used Ikea furniture that is fully assembled and fully functional. Returnable items include: office drawer cabinets, sideboards, bookcases, small tables, multimedia furniture, cabinets, dining tables, desks and chairs and stools without upholstery. You can’t sell back beds, sofas, mattresses, home furnishing accessories, leather products, lighting fixtures or chests of drawers. IKEA says all “gently used” items approved for resale will be available in a designated “as is” section in stores at discounted prices. So, next time you are furnituire shopping, check that section out… you might be able to find a great deal on something that’s already put together!
