Are you clearing out the Christmas decorations this week? I usually leave mine up until New Year’s Day, then start the new year fresh and clean! If you had a fresh tree this year, you can recycle it at a number of places around Sacramento Jan 8-9!

To be recycled, trees must be free of tinsel, lights, decorations, nails and stands. Flocked trees will be accepted, but cannot be recycled and will go to the landfill. For more info, click here!

**Note** County residents can also recycle their live holiday tree (all decorations removed) by cutting it up and placing it in the curbside green waste cart. Please make sure the lid will close. The cart will be emptied on your regular green waste collection day
