Get Your Pet Microchipped For FREE Before 4th Of July

More pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other time of the year

Pets getting scared and running away during fireworks season is a big fear many owners. However, getting them microchipped and is one of the best ways to make sure they get home safely. Also, a ID tag with your phone number.

Microchips contain up-to-date information about pets and their homes, making it easy for shelters to reunite lost animals with their owners.

Front Street Animal Shelter is currently offering FREE microchips and engraved tags through July 3rd from 9am – 11am.

How to keep your pets safe during the 4th of July:

• Collar, tag and microchip your pet with up-to-date contact info.

• Give your pet plenty of exercise

• Feed your pet 1 to 2 hours before fireworks begin.

• Leave your pets at home in a safe, quiet space.

• Provide distractions such as a toy or frozen treat.

• Secure your fences and exit doors.

• Keep party and picnic food out of pets’ reach.

• Be aware of heat hazards.

• Clean up your fireworks debris so pets don’t get burned or become ill.
