Yes, there’s going to be yet another separate story arch in the Star Wars cinematic universe. This time, coming from the minds of Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy told the Hollywood Reporter:

“David and Dan are some of the best storytellers working today. Their command of complex characters, depth of story and richness of mythology will break new ground and boldly push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly exciting.”

There’s no news yet about when this film series will roll out, or even when to expect it. However, it is coming for sure. Benioff and Weiss said in a statement:

“In the summer of 1977 we traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and we’ve been dreaming of it ever since. We are honored by the opportunity, a little terrified by the responsibility, and so excited to get started as soon as the final season of Game of Thrones is complete.”

As Spin reports, the last season of Game of Thrones won’t be out until 2019. So the two have some time to figure out what story they want to tell.

The next Star Wars film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is out on May 25.
