Free Books for Sacramento Kids from Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is expanding to give more free books to kids under five years old in ALL of California. That’s 2.4 million kids!

The Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to kids. The program currently covers 30 of California’s 58 counties, with the expansion is expected to reach the entire state by 2028. California is also slated to become the first state to provide books in Spanish through the program.
