Algerian chef Rabah Ourrad puts the finishing touches as he prepares a dish of couscous at a kitchen in the capital Algiers on December 13, 2020. – Couscous, the Berber dish beloved across northern Africa’s Maghreb and Sahel regions, has become a global foodie favourite now found on the shelves of organic supermarkets everywhere. Love it or hate it, but on December 16 the grain staple passed another culinary milestone when the UN cultural organisation honoured it as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage. I can’t say that I’ve ever opened a can of cat food and thought “that looks tasty!” Have you? The folks who make Fancy Feast cat food seem to think we envy our furry friends’ meals, so they hired chefs to create recipes that mimic some of their cat food formulas. Yes, you and your cat can enjoy similar meals. LOL! Don’t worry….cat food is NOT an actual ingredient in any of these recipes. Some of them actually sound pretty good! Among the 12 single-serving recipes are: Chicken and Ramen with Tomato Honey Butter Sauce, Honey Sriracha Grilled Chicken with Spicy Fried Rice, and Whitefish and Asparagus with Beurre Blanc. If you are interested in trying any of them, the recipes are a free download here!

Bon Apetite!!
