Drinking Wine Before Bed Could Help You Lose Weight

While we’re all still waiting for that diet pill that allows us to eat whatever we want and lose weight…we’ll take this news as a runner up!

Back in 2015, a study out of Washington State University – and reported on by delish, found that resveratrol helps with weight loss. What is resveratrol? Who cares! All you need to know is that it’s found in red wine. It’s also found in blueberries, grapes and strawberries – Sangria anyone?

But, the researchers found resveratrol helps turn fat into a kind of fat that is easier to burn off. And when you pair this study with one from 2012 that suggests a glass of wine at night staves off snacking…you get a new ritual. Red wine before bed!

One glass though. Which makes sense…two or three glasses had you snacking on anything and everything…which has the opposite affect!
