Danny Masterson’s time on the Netflix show, The Ranch, has come to a close…
Billboard has reported that the actor was fired after several allegations of rape were lodged against him.
He’s currently under investigation by the LAPD regarding the claims. They’re also looking into whether the Church of Scientology worked to cover up the women’s accusations (Masterson is a Scientologist).
The Ranch has also received backlash over Masteteron’s role on the show, with over 38,000 people calling for its cancellation.
Netflix said in a statement:
“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch. [Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.”
While the actor will still be appearing in the second half of season two (and potentially in parts of season 3), producers are working on writing out his character entirely.
