New York, UNITED STATES: A sample of Crocs shoes on display in a midtown New York City shoe store 21 February 2007. Crocs is an American company founded by Lyndon “Duke” Hanson, Scott Seamans, and George Boedecker in July 2002 in Boulder, Colorado. Originally intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole, crocs introduced its first model, the Beach at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and has become one of the most trendy shoes in the United States. AFP PHOTO Timothy A. CLARY (Photo credit should read TIMOTHY A. CLARY/AFP via Getty Images)

Since the spring of 2020, Crocs has donated nearly 1M free pairs of shoes to healthcare heroes on the frontlines of COVID-19. Now, they are giving away thousands more free pairs of shoes. If you’re a healthcare worker, you can request your shoes here. Don’t wait too long, though. You only have until May 12 to request your free pair.

So, why is Crocs doing this? They write on their website “Most of us today now get to live comfortably thanks to their tireless efforts, but we want to recognize that healthcare professionals are still taking care of our community day in and day out. We are grateful to those who continue to respond and want to let you know we are still with you,”
