Cool Off in One of These Local Pools

With the extreme heat warning this weekend, you’ll be looking for ways to keep cool and a refreshing pool is one of the best ways to beat the heat! If you are lucky enough to have a pool, you’ll probably be using it a lot this weekend! If you don’t, the City of Sacramento has 14 community pools for you to enjoy.

The pools that are now open include:

Cabrillo Pool (1648 65th Avenue)
Clunie Pool (601 Alhambra Boulevard)
Doyle Pool (2827 Mendel Way)
Hall Pool (5201 Carlson Drive)
McClatchy Pool (3500 5th Avenue)
Oki Pool (2715 Wissemann Drive)
Pannell Meadowview Pool (2450 Meadowview Road)
Sim Pool (6207 Logan Way)
Southside Pool (2107 6th Street)
Tahoe Pool (3501 59th Street)
Bertha Henschel Play Pool (160 45th Street)
Colonial Play Pool (5315 19th Avenue)
Robertson Play Pool (3525 Norwood Avenue
William Land Play Pool (1300 13th Avenue)

Community pools are affordable fun was a cost of just $2 per child and $4 per adult. “Swim Safe Sacramento” scholarships are available to provide free aquatics programs to people demonstrating financial need. Plus, here’s a way to swim free…The City and Sacramento Public Library are offering a Summer Reading program, where youth can receive free swim passes by reading books through their local library.
