Celebrate 916 Day this Saturday!

This Saturday, get out and enjoy Sacramento! Last year, Sacramento City Council officially named Sept. 16 as 916 Day. It’s a day to celebrate the things we love about living here.

While there will be events and parties all over Sacramento, it’s also a day to volunteer and invest our time and energy into organizations making this a better community.

The City of Sacramento’s Department of Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment are hosting a series of beautification and service events at parks and green spaces. Tools and supplies will be provided but may be limited. Volunteers who have their own gloves and pickers are encouraged to bring them. Find an event near you and get more details here.
