A New Vision For Raging Waters Appears

It could even become a year-round attraction

A new company is stepping in to revamp Sacramento’s Raging Waters at Cal Expo.

Silverwood Entertainment, LLC and Cal Expo are hammering out the final details that will see Raging Waters get a $30 million renovation. 

The water park will remain closed for now, but the 3-year plan for reimaging the park includes, “a new children’s area, speed slides and a surfing attraction,” according to KCRA 3. The wave pool and lazy river will be getting upgrades along with the food and retail areas.

The company is also looking into the possibility of making the park a year-round operation.

The operators of Raging Waters announced in November 2022 their plans to terminate their lease with Cal Expo after 15 years.
