5 Seconds of Summer have just released their own cover of a classic Queen song in celebration of the new Bohemian Rhapsody film.

According to Billboard, the Australian pop rock band released their own version of the song, “Killer Queen”, on Friday October 26. The modernized version of the Queen classic, joins Shawn Mendes’ own previously released cover of Queen’s “Under Pressure”.

The four-piece band begins their cover by launching straight into the familiar a cappella chorus. As the song progresses, the group join together in the tight harmonies of the full chorus, flexing their own musical skills and abilities.

While writing their third album, Youngblood, 5 Seconds of Summer shared how the music and style of Queen helped inspire their music. “Their unique harmonies, the fluidity to their songwriting and how they each used their own musicality to back each other up have always inspired us,” the band explained.

The band will reportedly be teaming up with Universal Music Group and Queen to donate the net profits of the track to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. This organization honors Freddie Mercury’s legacy and strives to fight HIV and AIDS.
