Are YOU working your dream job? Chances are you’re not… yet.

When I was little (Michelle), I wanted to be one of everything. I saw “Space Camp” and wanted to be an astronaut. I wanted to be a teacher. I went to Sea World and wanted to be a marine biologist. So many things, but never a DJ! Dan on the other hand, wanted to be on the radio since he was 14. That or a professional NBA player. At least one worked out! But, he’s in the minority.

A new survey finds only about 1 in 10 of us is actually working our childhood dream job. And, while the might be discouraging, about 60% of us are STILL clinging to at least a little hope that it could happen one day.

Here are the 10 most common dream jobs we had as kids that we’re NOT doing now as adults:

Pro athlete

Musician or singer

Teacher

Veterinarian

Writer

Pilot

Actor

Dancer

Doctor

Police officer
