John Legend has signed on to star in NBC’s live version of Jesus Christ Superstar.

John says he’s humbled to be a part of this musical saying, “It’s such a powerful, meaningful musical.

Rocker Alice Cooper has also signed on to play King Herod, which could make for some interesting live TV. Jesus Christ Superstar Live will air on April 1st.
