Here’s How Writing An Essay Could Win You A $10,000 Scholarship
A company is offering college students the opportunity to win a $10,000 college scholarship.

With summer rapidly coming to a close, and the beginning of school right around the corner, most college students are starting to think about this year’s school expenses and brainstorming ways to help offset the costs of a higher education. Bellhops, a college-centered moving company that helps students organize a team to help them move between dorms, is looking to help cover some of those costs. The company is offering a $10,000 scholarship as a way to give back to students and help them achieve their educational goals.
According to The Penny Hoarder, this one-time scholarship prize is being offered to students across the country. To enter, students must write and submit a 1,000 to 1,250 word essay, discussing the major they are pursuing and how their major can be used to benefit society. They then must fill out the scholarship application and submit an official copy of their most recent high school or college transcripts. To be eligible to enter, students must either be currently enrolled or planning on enrolling in an accredited undergraduate university in 2018, and must currently have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Bellhops is putting on this scholarship opportunity as a way to give back to students who are pursuing a higher education. The company started on Auburn University’s campus in 2011, and they cite the support of the college community as a contributor to their company’s success. “We know a little help can go a long way, and we want to help provide as much assistance as we can for others to follow their dreams” a spokesperson for Bellhops said.
