If you have a desk job, it can be hard to get your steps in! But, this might motivate you if you want to lose an easy five pounds a year while you’re working. Just get off your butt.
New research from the MayoClinic found standing at your desk can actually burn calories. So, if you stand, instead of sit, you wil burn 0.15 more calories a minute. So, if you are able to stand for six of your eight hours that’s 54 calories burned for a 143-pound adult and 5.5 pounds a year. Woah!!
