‘Wonder Woman’ Director Confirms Kristen Wiig Will Be In The Sequel
Kristen Wiig will join the DC Universe in the upcoming “Wonder Woman” sequel, and director Patty Jenkins implied she’ll be playing the villain, Cheetah.

Kristen Wiig is making the move from comedy films to the DC universe for the sequel to Wonder Woman.
According to E! News, the actress has officially joined the cast for the upcoming film.
Director Patty Jenkins confirmed the news on Twitter Friday morning, saying:
“So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It’s true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family. Can’t wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! @GalGadot.”

While the role Wiig will play has not been officially revealed, many assume it will be the villain Cheetah. Jenkins further implied that by including “#Cheetah” in her tweet.
Besides Wiig, lead actress Gal Gadot has also been confirmed to return for the sequel, but few details about the film have been released to the public beyond that.
However, as cool as this news is, we still have a long way to go before we can see the film; it’s current release date is November 2019.
