CHP arrested a woman – driving to work Tuesday morning – for DUI when CHP determined she was severely intoxicated.

A California Highway Patrol officer stopped the woman on Northbound Hwy 99 near Mack Road around 9 a.m. for not having a license plate. However, during the stop the officer became suspicious that the woman was impaired. The driver was established to have a blood-alcohol content nearly the legal limit, according to CHP- South Sacramento Facebook post.

“We are thankful that our officer was able to locate and stop this extremely impaired driver before she could of possibly been involved in a collision that could of hurt an innocent motorist or herself.”

The woman has not been identified. She was booked into Sacramento County Jail where she now faces DUI charges.
