Mike Teevee from ‘Willy Wonka’ finally got his big chance to appear on TV – alongside Alex Trebek.
Paris Themmen, who played the television obsessed character in the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, randomly popped up as a contestant on Jeopardy this week.
Alex Trebek didn’t seem to notice, or he didn’t care one bit. He didn’t even mention the fact that Themmen was a former child star.
Themmen told TMZ that Trebek was given three “fun facts” about him to chose from, but the oddly host chose to go with his love of backpacking instead. Also, Themmen’s wife was a contestant on Jeopardy in 2015, and Trebek chose to ignore her “fun fact” that her hubby was part of one of the most beloved movies of all time.
